Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)

WSIB is Ontario’s government agency responsible for workers’ compensation, no-fault workplace insurance, and occupational health and safety for provincially regulated workplaces.
WSIB:

• Provides insurance benefits and healthcare coverage to workers injured or made ill on the job

• Ensures lost wage compensation, survivor benefits, and job retraining

• Supports return-to-work programs for claimants

• Offers health and safety resources, training, and statistics to improve workplace safety across Ontario

• Funds its operations entirely through employer premiums and investments

• Administers the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA), serving over five million people in more than 300,000 Ontario workplaces

Their services include claims management, prevention resources, business registration, compliance support, and public reporting on workplace safety metrics.
