On December 22, 2025, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors Office, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office held their first joint meeting to discuss the investigation direction.

- Violations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act

Authorities raided POSCO E&C (the general contractor) and its subcontractors to gather evidence and conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
